Arts' Council Membership

The Arts' Council is the voice for arts, culture and heritage in the Powell River region. Membership includes individual artists from every discipline; community groups that promote or represent some aspect of arts, culture and heritage; and businesses that embrace the importance of arts and culture in any society. Businesses are very specifically recognized as marketing partners of the arts. The Arts' Council directly represents over 500 people in the arts and culture community and indirectly all the people in the region to ensure that arts, culture and heritage remains a vibrant aspect of the Powell River region.

Membership in the Arts' Council is encouraged and open to everyone including artists, artisans, art groups and individuals and businesses that are friends of the arts. In today’s intense competition for available arts and culture funding membership numbers count significantly in that it demonstrates to funding organizations that the Arts' Council is supported by and represents the community.
