A non-profit organization which operates the Malaspina Exhibition Centre at Vancouver Island University, a registered public gallery which provides a venue for local artists and a showplace for a variety of visual arts. Artists are paid an honorarium. A permanent collection of art by local artists is on display during the summer. New members welcome. Powell River Studio Tour

The Powell River Studio Tour is annual event held at the end of the Blackberry Festival each year in August. Free to the public, the Tour features local artists at their studios located from Saltery Bay (south of Powell River) to Lund.

Visitors will be able to experience the diversity & excellence of the art community in the Powell River region, along with the spectacular natural beauty of Canada's Sunshine Coast. Visitors design their own tour using a free brochure and guide that includes information on each artist or gallery participating in the tour.

Incorporated as a society in 1989, the mandate of the Society is to raise awareness of our unique heritage through education, walking tours and by providing historical resources. Since its’ inception the Society has invigorated the community. Active members engage in fundraising activities to support the Society’s endeavours.
