The Arts' Council
The Powell River Council for Arts', Culture and Heritage, known simply as the Arts' Council, is a registered society in
British Columbia with a mission to enhance the quality of life and creative vitality of the people who live in the Powell River region. By nurturing awareness of, involvement in and commitment to arts, culture and heritage, we are dedicated to promoting art and culture in the Powell River area, including Lund, Texada Island and Savary Island.

Art News

August is coming up fast and it will be time again for Arts Alive in the Park, a two-day celebration of art, culture and heritage in our community. There will be visual artist displays, performing artists on stage, activities for the kids and much more.

A benefit of being an Arts Council member is that booth space to display art or information is free.  Click the link about for the registration form.

Arts Council member Vi Isaac recently returned from Paris where she attended a workshop “Putting People into Paintings” with New York artist Phil Levine. You can see some examples of Vi’s paintings on the Studio Tour website.
